The permanent exhibit in the Audi Museum Mobile is the heart of the forum. More than 100 automobiles and two-wheelers show the history of the company and the changes in the bodies over time.

Altmühl Valley by bicycle or by foot

Active tours in the Altmühl Valley nature park promise pure enjoyment, such as on the Altmühl Valley bike path and the Altmühl Valley panorama path. 

Altmühl Valley bike path
Length: approx. 33 km
The Altmühl Valley bike path is one of the most popular bike paths in Germany: It follows the Altmühl for 166 kilometers from Gunzenhausen to Kelheim through the Altmühl Valley nature park. Along the trip, majestic Juraalb rock formations, impressive juniper heaths and lush riverbank and meadow landscapes are waiting to be discovered.

Length: approx. 200 km
The Altmühl Valley panorama path follows the Altmühl, sunny juniper heaths and wild, romantic rocky landscapes – from Gunzenhausen to Kelheim. Historic cities, old castles and palaces and evidence of Roman and Celtic history await your discovery. The area can be explored on foot in 15 stages, either individually or together.

Events in Ingolstadt

Spring folk festival

6 to 15 June 2025

The Spring Folk Festival takes place every year at Whitsun on the fairground in Dreizehnerstrasse. On both Fridays (6 June and 14 June) there are usually fireworks in the evening.

Donau Classic

17 to 19 July 2025

The Donau Classics is a two-day classic car rally that has been held annually in Ingolstadt since 2006. The rally starts and finishes in Ingolstadt, the home town of Audi and MAN. The participants drive in historic cars from the years 1900 to 1990. The route is redefined every year and leads through various regions of Bavaria, including the Alps, the Danube Valley and the Altmühl Valley.

Africafestival

June 27th and 28th, 2025

African handicrafts from various parts of Africa invite awe, while African food and finger foods bring the culinary delights of Africa closer. Accompanying this, African music and live shows will be heard and seen throughout the day.

Festival of cultures

July 25th to 26th, 2025

Cultural associations of foreign origin meet in Klenzepark, near the Danube stage, and present a varied programme, culinary specialities and information.

Autumn folk festival

September 26th to October 5th, 2025

The autumn festival in Ingolstadt is a folk festival that takes place every year in autumn on the fairground on Dreizehnerstrasse in Ingolstadt. It is one of the largest folk festivals in Bavaria and attracts around 1.5 million visitors every year. The autumn festival was first held in 1946 after the Second World War and has since become an integral part of cultural life in Ingolstadt. At the autumn festival you will find everything a folk festival has to offer: Rides, beer tents, delicacies and entertainment.

Ingolstadt Christmas Market

27 November to 23 December 2025

Festively decorated stalls await visitors on the theatre square. But the whole city also shines in Christmas splendour. Christmas railway:
