Discover the town church, the baroque castle of Friedrichstein, the splendid spa architecture along the Brunnenallee and visit the biggest spa park in Europe, which starts right at the hotel. A large variety of cultural offers and the nearby Edersee offer change and relaxation to suit every taste: with golf, horse riding, tennis, para-gliding and power gliding. More than 500 km of trekking trails criss-cross the primitive mixed forests of the surroundings. The Kellerwald National Park lures trekkers and nature lovers onto its attractive tracks such as the Kellerwaldsteig and the Urwaldsteig. Bad Wildungen is worth a visit at any time of the year, as a holiday destination, for wellness trips and short holidays.
Cassel
The Bergpark Wilhelmshöhe is one of the biggest and most beautiful in Europe and also one of the most impressive spa parks. The baroque park of Karlsaue in the centre of Kassel is almost as large as the state of Monaco, with the Flower Island Siebenbergen and the orangerie. However, Kassel is not only a place for edgy nerves, tired bones and enthusiastic walkers. At the Bugasee, in the middle of the city, one can surf, ride bicycles, swim and feel the sand beach right at the doorstep. In the Habichtswald Natural Park, cross country ski tracks and the ski lift are set into operation. From the Kassel-Calden airport, one can jump with parachutes or travel over with a hot air balloon.
