The city's history traces back over 2,500 years. Today Changzhou is a fast growing industrial centre and home of the China Dinosaur Park located in the Xinbei District of the city. The Dinosaur Park shows a collection of dinosaur bones and fossils from all over China.
In 2011, a new amusement park called CC Joyland opened in Taihuwan near Taihu lake in Wujin District in the south of Changzhou. The city is also home to the Tianning Temple - one of the largest Zen Buddhist temple and monasteries in China.
Changzhou offers regular train connections to Shanghai. Since the transfer time only takes approx. 1 hour, a day trip to this exciting city would be recommended.
