Bonn is great to explore on foot, but especially if you're travelling with children, it's a good idea to take the bus for some of the way. This not only saves tired children's feet, but also nerves. It really is a wonderful experience to cruise through the city in the red double-decker bus. The hop-on-hop-off bus allows maximum flexibility, you just get off when you feel like it and hop on when your feet get tired. The bus has 11 stops throughout the city, from the "Museumsmeile" to the "Siebengebirge".
